How much to give?
When you are doing consults regularly you often have a theme run along side the issues that people bring their animals to you to help with.
This last month, the majority of clients have been coming to me and they have been giving so many supplements to their animals that the animal is not able to get the full benefit of these supplements as they are being overloaded by biochemistry. When I do a kinesiology process what often shows up in these circumstances is biochemistry locked in in the energy field of different organs, chakras or meridians. When these blocks occur, no matter how much of a good vitamin or mineral you give them to be able to assimilate all the nutrients are unable to uptake them so they add to the congestion in the body, or they go unused.
When this phenomena first started I decided not to offend the people and just let them continue with their approach. Unfortunately my trying to ignore their excess use then blocked what I was trying to achieve. So in the last month I have asked the owners to stop any added supplements they think may just help and just stick with a basic two or three herbs and maybe a tissue salt if needed. In 80% of the cases the animals have then had to release the excess of what they have locked in their bodies, so we saw laminitis get worse, we saw skin issues or fungal growths ... these didn't last long and we just stayed with a simple approach and after a month we found we had health restored.
The other 20% just improved in their physical health and disposition without having to rid themselves of the overload. Their bodies were able to release what had accumulated without worrying their owners.
In all of the cases I have in mind when writing this blog, the owners had had some kind of improvement on one supplement and then hit a plateau, instead of reviewing if that supplement was needed any more, they thought that “well it has worked so far so I'll just add something else” and in many cases this went on and the animal ended up on 4 to 10 (yes ten in one case) additives. Whereas if they had gone with the idea that the first supplement had achieved what they needed to and maybe it was time to change it so the approach stayed simple, they may not have ended up with a sick animal or an animal that was now not responding to anything they were giving.
It was really hard for some clients to not give all they have been giving, to let go of what they had thought was a good thing for their animal. But once they got back to a simple approach, not only were their animals happier, they had some cash left in their wallets at the end of the week. Double bonus!
