Equine Flu Remedy - Ferr Phos Tissue Salts
September 27th 2007 01:57
One thing I have found very useful with horses when they first come down with equine influenza is the tissue salt Ferr Phos.
When they first start getting a temperature, doses close together can help the body regulate its response better. This is the remedy I always choose in the first instant of most colds, flus, infections and inflammation. It helps with pain relief as well as fever management. Worth stocking in your first aid dispensary and having handy.
It also assists with cough symptoms, and you can dose half hourly if need be to help your horse with annoying coughs.

What are Tissue Salts? Tissue Salts are inorganic mineral substances, exactly the same as those that compose our earth and its soils. Dr Schuessler, a 19th Century German physician, recognised them as the material basis of the organs of the body and indentified 12 Tissue Salts in every human cell.
The human body contains twelve vital inorganic elements which are responsible for mainentance of normal cell function.
When one or more of these elements become deficient the normal cell function or metabolism is disturbed and a condition arises known as disease.
