Spinal Therapy for Horses
October 17th 2007 03:23
With Equine Influenza affecting most of my hands on clients, I have been off studying to fill in time.
One course I have done is one in Dorn Spinal Therapy. This is such a simple way to help the body come back into balance via the spine and joints, I have started working out how I can use these simple techniques on horses.
Some of it will be as simple as holding certain areas of the horse's back while we walk him up and down a breeze way, and then I think we can release some of the issues massage and bodywork don't quite touch.
I am quite excited about how I teach my owners to help their horses, especially after a change in saddle or gear.
I am away updating my kinesiology skills this week, but as I have been working out how Dorn can be used with horses, I have been busy developing a kinesiology process to help balance the etheric body after a release has been achieved in the physical body from Dorn techniques.
What I am enjoying about this new dimension to my work is the increased 'client' participation. It is so rewarding as my clients work through the issues that have thrown they bodies and lives out of whack, and learn how to not create the same issues over and over again.
Will keep you all posted, some of the imbalances that will be corrected will be in gestation, it is interesting to see how emotions of the those around a gestating fetus can affect processes such as healthy bone formation and nerve pathways.
