The application of herbs and other plant extracts has been undergoing a renaissance over the last fifty years. Herbs used to be part of a daily regimen with horses that self medicated in their grazing or were included in veterinary pharmacopoeias. Dogs will often help themselves to household herb gardens. Today our society is moving at such a pace, that we demand a pill to fix "this "or a drug to suppress "that". We can incorporate the use of herbs, homoeopathic remedies, essential oils, flower essences and understanding the spirit of our animals in their daily care to engender a general sense of well being. This can be done to use herbs to supplement dietary deficiencies; maintain a general sense of well-being; assist in repatterning behavioral issues; and in cases where you have obtained a veterinary diagnosis assist with disease within the body.

The philosophy of herbalism and other therapies that have developed from this form of healing is very different to that of modern pharmaceutical use. We aim to cleanse the body and then restore tone. This process may be slower than what is initially seen with the use of drugs, however the long term benefit to the body and will be the reward to the patient owner. It is important you understand that by assisting your animal at this level that the healing process may follow a more subtle path to that of pharmaceuticals and if you have any questions during this process do not hesitate to contact Catherine.

Where there is a behavioral component to this issue, it will be identified using spiritual kinesiology. This involves identifying possible emotional and mental aspects that may have lodged in the energy field and be contributing to what has manifested as a physical imbalance. These aspects will be explained to you and the spiritual tools used to bring this into balance for you animal will be infused to assist the assimilation of your remedies more effectively.

If you require emergency assistance, your veterinarian best addresses this. It is also desired that when requesting a consultation to address an illness or a disease state you have obtained a veterinary diagnosis.
Consultations with Catherine can encompass aspects of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being of your animal. To help with understanding your animal further you will be required to fill out our questionnaire.

Catherine is trained in the physiomedical philosophy of using gentle herbs to cleanse and tone the whole body to achieve a healthier state of being.

If you are booking a massage for your dog or horse, there is no need to follow this procedure, this form is to assess if herbs or other therapeutics will assist you animal.
